Rebekah Kitchell is a North-east based photographer who uses photography to explore identity. Her work often takes an autobiographical approach, whether it's turning the camera in on herself, or using the camera to explore relationships she has with others.
Her work comments on today's society and the influence the media has on us.
She predominantly works with medium format, colour film, creating hand made chemical prints in the dark room. The process is an extremely important part of her practice as a photographer as she views the photograph as an object - something you can physically touch.
In June 2017, she graduated with a First-Class honours degree in Photography, Video and Digital Imaging at the University of Sunderland.
She is currently studying the Masters in Photography course at the University of Sunderland.
